	The Confidence to Grow Initiative This program harnesses the energy and leadership drive of youth to forge cross-community partnerships to improve economic, environmental and social sustainability. It focuses on increasing the adoption of sustainable farm management practices, including conserving and extending green corridors, while improving food security to meet the needs of a growing nation and world demand. Our team of experts include: Dr Neil Moss BVSc Dip Vet Clin Stud PhD Neil is senior consultant with, and a director of SBScibus, an agricultural consulting and research company that works closely with dairy farmers and the wider industry across Australia and internationally. He works with over 40 leading NSW farmers improving farm performance, profitability and sustainability. He has a strong interest in integrated farm management and the relationship between animal health and production, nutrition and agronomy. He has been a frequent presenter at farmer and industry conferences and meetings covering a wide range of dairy related topics and is a regular guest lecturer at veterinary faculties in Sydney and CSU. He has been a committee member on a number of industry bodies including the NSW Future Ready Dairy Systems and NSW Dairy Industry Animal Health Committee and consultant to a number of industry bodies including Dairy Australia, NSW DPI and the Future Dairy Systems project based at Sydney University. Erin Lake BA BSc (Hons) Erin is currently Project Officer for the Confidence to Grow initiative. Erin completed a Science-Arts degree with Honours from the University of Wollongong in 2009, specialising in interdisciplinary research into the nature of ecological restoration on private land and farms. She is a qualified bush regenerator and has worked on many projects and reserves in the Illawarra in a range of environments including wetlands, rainforests and heathlands. Erin is a regular member of Landcare and is a member of three active working groups undertaking restoration of coastal ecosystems. Dr Jess Jennings B Ec (Hons) PhD Jess is managing director of Rufus Jennings Pty Ltd which specialises in · Promoting and achieving improved Natural Resource Management (NRM) outcomes for agricultural industries · Effective extension design and delivery · Drought relief/response services · Project management For the past 5 years Jess has been Dairy Australia's Regional NRM Coordinator for NSW under the national Dairying for Tomorrow program. He has input to a variety of projects involving a wide range of rural, semi-urban and agricultural stakeholders, including farmer organisations, state, local and federal government, remote communities in Arnhem Land and the private sector. Jess has also held the positions of Treasurer and Vice President of the peak professional extension body Australasia Pacific Extension Network (APEN); he holds several advisory industry committee positions, specialising in the dairy industry and is currently coordinating, producing and lead-editor of Australia's first comprehensive post-graduate and practitioner text on extension for agriculture and NRM. our projects include 1. "Farm Ready Tools for Sustainable Dairying in High Conservation Value Landscapes" This project is supported by Caring for our Country funding and is a partnership between Dairy Youth Australia Inc and SBScibus, Southern Rivers CMA, Landcare Illawarra, Small Farms Network and the University of Sydney. 2. "Best Practice Riparian Management for Coastal Communities" A Dairy Youth Australia Inc collaboration with Tangalla Community Streams and Rainforest Landcare Group.
